Details of the draft Conference Programme are now available. Please click here for details: John Thelwall Conference Programme – Final. Part of the programme will feature an historical re-enactment of the activities of local radicals in the area, taking place in Derby’s oldest pub, and what is potentially one of the sites linked with the 1792 Revolutionary Address. This event is made possible through the generous funding of White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities/AHRC.
There will also be an optional conference dinner (details available here) and a visit to the Derby Local Studies Archive to view the Thelwall holdings. Derby Local Studies Library are also offering an Enlightenment Derby Guided Walk on Thursday evening before the conference. The weekend will close with the John Thelwall Society Annual General Meeting to be held on Sunday afternoon at 15.30.
