John Thelwall: Radical Networks and Cultures of Reform 1780-1820
The Second International John Thelwall Society Conference will be taking place at the University of Derby over the weekend of 21-23 July 2017. All the conference panels will take place at 1 Friargate Square, which is part of the University of Derby campus and home to the Derby Law School. Located in the city centre, this building offers modern, well-equipped meeting and seminar rooms and IT facilities.
We have a fascinating programme of speakers, events, archival visits, and an optional conference dinner, all taking place over a packed weekend in this historic part of Derby. We are encouraging all our delegates to become members of the John Thelwall Society. Members of the society will be eligible for a reduced conference rate.
If you require any further information, please contact Dr. Paul Whickman, Conference Organiser, or Val Derbyshire, Conference Assistant via email.
The Conference has already been granted the generous support of the British Association of Romantic Studies.
The Radical Pub Night Re-enactment part of the programme will be generously funded by White Rose College for the Arts & Humanities/AHRC.
